Adult Bible Classes
We are seeking an environment where quality Bible Study takes place.
Studying God’s Word is an important part in growing our personal faith in our Lord. (Romans 10:17) At the Washington Avenue Church of Christ we strive to develop an atmosphere that encourages personal Bible Study by providing quality learning opportunities. We want to invite you to take the opportunity to participate in our Bible Classes, developing a greater love for God’s Word and learning to live a life that honors and glorifies our Lord! Our classes meet each Sunday morning at 9:30 am before worship services at 10:25 am; and then on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. We also have other occasions for Bible Study, such as our Vacation Bible School in the early summer, our Bible Series in the Fall, Bible Discussion Groups periodically on Sunday evenings, weekend retreats for our young people, our Ladies’ Day and Ladies’ Retreat, for our men the “Iron Sharpens Iron” gatherings, and we are even willing to provide personal studies if such better fits your schedule. We desire to provide an environment where quality Bible learning experiences exist. We strive to never compromise God’s Word; but use it as our authoritative guide for life, leading us into eternal life, and a home in Heaven with God. (I Corinthians 15:11; II Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17; 4:2)
We have several Bible Classes that offer important learning opportunities for all adults. We strive to provide classes that support various learning styles such as small group discussions to larger lecture style classes. Throughout the year, we have classes that deal specifically with the text of the Bible, ensuring that we study through the entirety of the Bible from the first book of Genesis to the last book of Revelation. We also have topical classes that look to the Bible in dealing with various topics that we face in life. There is a Ladies’ Class that focuses on issues and topics that relate to them. Periodically we have classes for our Young Adults that deal with looking to the Bible in answering struggles and concerns they are going through.

At Washington Avenue, there are multiple programs to serve Him and to grow closer to Him. We care about offering means to people to get to worship services and Bible classes, and in the education programs that develop and strengthen faith through greater understanding of God’s Word. Pickleball
Join us for Pickleball Fridays, an established favorite among our community activities. Every Friday at 6 PM, we come together to share laughter, competition, and the joy of playing Pickleball in the spirit of fellowship.
Pickleball is more than just a sport; it's an opportunity to build connections, have fun, and stay active. Whether you're a seasoned player or a curious beginner, our Pickleball Fridays provide a welcoming and inclusive space for all skill levels. You can expect friendly matches with fellow church members and friends. Build community & strengthen connections as we bond over this exciting sport. All ages and skill levels are welcome! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors – let's make Pickleball Fridays a community affair. Simply show up at the activities center on Fridays at 6 PM with your Pickleball gear, and be ready for an evening of fun and fellowship. No need to sign up in advance; just come with a positive attitude and a willingness to have a great time.
